Fire Engineering Reports

Hughes and Associates can also provide fire engineers’ reports. Following the findings of an intrusive survey, a fire engineer’s report is conducted if combustible materials are found to be present in the external wall of a building. During the assessment, a fire engineer will consider the findings of the intrusive survey in relation to other contributing factors. From the building’s height and use to the residents’ profiles and existing fire safety precautions, the scope of the report is extensive. Fire engineers design systems and provide advice in respect to fire safety measures. From new-builds to those undergoing refurbishment or change of use, fire engineers are called upon to ensure buildings meet legislative requirements with an emphasis on protecting life, property and the wider environment.
