Passive Fire Protection:
We offer a range of different fire protection elements, from basic signage to ventilation dampers, fire doors, and sophisticated fire protection systems. Should a fire break out, it’s essential that these elements are in place to contain its spread to the compartment where it started.
From design to installation, we provide a complete passive fire protection solution to commercial buildings. As an intrinsic element of any fire strategy, our installations are designed to contain fire and reduce its ability to spread. Passive fire protection measures can protect vital escape routes and provide enhanced fire resistance to the structure of a building.
Protection can be provided by the materials used in an initial build or be added to a building retrospectively. Fireboard encasements can be added to steel or timber framework to protect the structure of a building with additional fire resistance.
Fire Door Maintenance
From fire compartmentation to protection of escape routes, fire doors perform a vital role. They are generally designed to be kept closed (unless on electronic hold back devices) with specific ironmongery and intumescent strips only fitted.
Fire & Smoke Dampers
Specific Defect surveys come in many different formats, HAPS, as a regulated RICS firm is required to follow a prescribed format that protects all parties by specifying the scope of the survey, identifies any assumptions and constraints applicable.
Fire Door Installation
HAPS has extensive expertise and experience in conducting 6 facet and CQC premises surveys for many categories of NHS buildings, including, acute hospitals, mental health facilities, health centres, and GP practices.
Fire Stopping
A planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategy means that maintenance tasks are scheduled ahead of time and at regular intervals. These measures are applied to assets to extend their useful life while reducing costs.
